Tucked away in a beautiful village, yet close to several internationally known business and research venues including:- Milton Park; UKAEA; The Diamond Light Source; The Rutherford Appleton Laboratory; The Harwell Science and Innovation Campus and the Oxford Science Park.

We are only 12 miles from Reading – the UK home of Microsoft, Oracle, Xerox, Yell and many other world class and local businesses. And the fabulous City of Oxford is just 13 miles away by car.

Getting around is easy. Didcot station is only 6 miles away and offers fast connections to London (about 45 minutes), Wales and the West Country. Both M4 and M40 motorways are easily accessible and Heathrow Airport is less than an hour’s drive away.

Just let us know what you need in advance. We can always arrange to book cabs, or pick you up and deliver you personally. Let us know what suits you and we will arrange everything.

Having a break

Who would imagine London is only 50 miles away – and less than an hour by train. A weekend or long weekend break is a wonderful way to recharge your batteries – even if you have a wedding, 21st birthday or christening to go to during your stay.

And there’s an amazing amount of things to do if you just want a break in the countryside – walking (we are minutes from the Ridgeway), cycling, horseriding, boating or just doing not much more than enjoying tranquillity and some of the best restaurants and pubs nearby.

We are always on hand for the unexpected – sewing on buttons, washing and ironing, providing things you may have forgotten – toothbrushes, hairdryers or even a tie!
